I hope you had the chance to treat yourself to a visit of the beautiful collection at the 2016 Statewide Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts Summer Show . The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts retained a 20% commission on all works sold. Saratoga Arts made this program possible with an Arts Education Grant funded by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
These limited edition prints are printed on Kodak Pro Endura glossy paper photo print under 0.08″ acrylic glass then mounted on an aluminum Dibond base. The finished print is captured in a solid wood art box, a simple dark wooden frame surround of 0.16″ with a profile depth of 1.38″. The artbox is then fixed to a backdrop of reclaimed tin roofing, cut, polished and hand waxed by the artist to preserve the natural patina and permanently seal the rusty antique material.
The “Barn” and “Heavy” photos were on display at the at Food for the Soul at the Micropolis Cooperative, Inc., within the wonderful Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market. I am honored to have been chosen with so many great pieces in the running!
The juried art show and fifth anniversary celebration opened May 6th, 2016, at the Micropolis Cooperative Gallery. The exhibition included original two & three dimensional media including digital art by artists local to central New York. The collection was on display in two locations, the Fulton Montgomery Chamber Rotunda Gallery at 2 North Main Street, Gloversville, NY and at the Micropolis Cooperative Gallery at 30 North Main Street in Gloversville, NY.
I highly recommend the stopping at Micropolis for a wonderful latte, quiche or sandwich, to pick up some local organic produce and peruse the works of many talented local artists anytime.
